once the cloud protector (local proxy) has been installed on a workstation, relevant http/s traffic must be routed through the proxy this can be configured either at the system level or limited to individual web browsers keystrike supports and recommends using proxy auto configuration (pac), which allows browsers and applications to automatically determine which traffic should be routed through the proxy and which should connect directly the pac is provided at http //localhost 3040/wpad dat to confirm that your system or browser is correctly using the proxy, configure it as described on this page and then visit https //proxycheck keystrike io/ for verification windows press win + i to open settings go to network & internet → proxy choose automatic proxy setup \ use setup script \ set up turn use setup script to on enter http //localhost 3040/wpad dat as the script address click save this setting works for most apps that use the windows proxy, like microsoft edge, chrome, and firefox some programs may need their proxy set up separately macos open system settings search for proxies and select it turn automatic proxy configuration to on enter http //localhost 3040/wpad dat as the url click ok
